Local vendor agreements - policies and procedures

The Laboratory is implementing a pre-authorization process covering personal safety items, which will require pre-approval by the employee's group leader before items can be purchased. The new policy is effective Aug. 4.

A memo, which provides guidance on the implementation of changes to the Local Vendor Agreements covering personal safety items, i.e., safety/non-safety shoes, protection clothing, and safety/computer glasses has been issued. This change is part of a continuing effort to ensure best business techniques and effective controls are implemented throughout the Laboratory.
