Registration deadline today for Lab's Family Festival

Laboratory personnel planning to attend the Laboratory's Family Festival event need to register in advance to obtain tickets. The pre-registration allows the Lab to make proper arrangements to accommodate Lab workers and their families. The registration deadline is today.

The Family Festival is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., July 19 at Sullivan Field at Los Alamos High School on Diamond Drive. "The intent of the festival is to salute all members of the extended Laboratory work force family - past and present - for their many contributions to this great institution, and to thank the families of our work force for their outstanding support and dedication," Interim Laboratory Director G. Peter Nanos said in a all employee memo.

The festival features food, music and fun for Lab workers and family members of all ages. To make the festival successful, the Lab's 60th Anniversary task force is seeking input in planning, implementation and post-event reflection on the event. Lab workers who want to volunteer to serve on the event's planning committee, or who have suggestions for the festival program should contact Min S. Park of the Bioscience (B) Division, task force member, by calling 5-3024 or writing to park_min_s@lanl.gov by electronic mail, or write to familyfestival@lanl.gov by electronic mail.

Lab personnel can register by going to http://sixty.lanl.gov/festival/registration.php online and entering name, Lab organization, telephone number, names of adults and children expected to attend and the children's ages. Lab workers also can send the same registration by fax to Jessica Faulkner of the Earth and Environmental Sciences (EES) Division at 7-3494.
