Picnic means food, fun, camaraderie for Laboratory students, mentorsGlen Wurden of Plasma Physics (P-24) hits a ball out of the park at the annual student/mentor picnic last Thursday at Urban Park in Los Alamos. A mentor to 14 students, Wurden is a member of the Lab's magnetic fusion team, where he performs experiments with plasma. The picnic was sponsored by the Lab's Students' Association and the Student Programs Advisory Council. About 1,000 students attended the event, a sharp increase from only a few hundred last year.
