Aiding tumor research ... and moreThe latest issue of DOE Pulse is available online. Pulse is an online newsletter about accomplishments at the Department of Energy's national laboratories. The highlights are short and written to be very understandable. In addition to the highlights, each issue features two longer articles – one about a researcher and one about a multilab collaborative effort. Some of the headlines in this issue are "Gold 'nanoplugs' improve the flow" from Brookhaven National Laboratory, "A new look at crystal structure" from Ames Laboratory, "Aiding tumor research" from Argonne National Laboratory and "Bringing home the collaboration" from Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. There also is a profile of Kent Casleton from the National Energy Technology Laboratory and a feature on detecting supernovae and nuclear devices from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
