Memorial Sunday for Lab employee Schmitt

A memorial gathering for Jerry Schmitt is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday at Pajarito Ski Lodge in Los Alamos.

Schmitt, of Detonator Technology (DX-1), died May 23 in Los Alamos. Schmitt worked at the Laboratory 22 years. He was a amateur radio enthusiast, pilot, photographer and rescue scuba diver in addition to numerous other hobbies.

To arrive at the gathering, take the road to the right with a small brown sign with a skier on it and follow that road to the end. The ski runs and the lodge should be visible. Complete driving directions are located at http://www.skipajarito.com/directions.html online.
