Friday, May 30, 2003 Public hearings on proposed CMR Building replacement June 3-4The National Nuclear Security Administration, Department of Energy and Office of Los Alamos Site Operations are holding two public hearings next week regarding the proposed Chemistry Metallurgy Research (CMR) Building replacement project.The hearings are open to the public, which can submit comments on the analyses of potential effects, and the attendant environmental issues that could result from the proposed CMR Building replacement project. The public hearings are Tuesday (June 3) in Fuller Lodge on Central Avenue in Los Alamos and Wednesday (June 4) at the Pablo Roybal Elementary School, Multipurpose Room, in Pojoaque. Hearings are open house style in format and begin at 6:30 p.m. Informational presentations and an oral comments period begins at 7 p.m. The following alternatives were selected for detailed environmental evaluation
