Lab participates in DOE small business conferenceThe Laboratory's Small Business Program (BUS-SBO) Office is participating in the fourth annual Department of Energy national small business conference next week in the Albuquerque Convention Center. DOE's Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization is hosting the conference May 12 through 15. The conference is titled "Securing Economic Freedom: Empowering Small Business." "Small businesses are the backbone of the American economy and this conference will be an open door to all small businesses exploring new opportunities with the Department of Energy," Spencer Abraham, DOE secretary said in a news release. The Lab's Small Business Office will have an informational booth at the conference in conjunction with Sandia National Laboratories and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Small business owners can meet with SBO staff and buyers from the Lab to learn more about small business programs. The small business conference is being held concurrently with a DOE diversity training seminar also in the Convention Center.
