New ideas to capture carbon ... and more

The latest issue of DOE Pulse is available online. Pulse is an online newsletter about accomplishments at the Department of Energy's national laboratories. The highlights are short and written to be very understandable.

In addition to the highlights, each issue features two longer articles – one about a researcher and one about a multilab collaborative effort.

Some of the headlines in this issue are "Compact, personal power source" from Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, "Removing friction at nanoscale" from Oak Ridge National Laboratory, "Green-power programs ranked" from National Renewable Energy Laboratory and "New ideas to capture carbon" from the National Energy Technology Laboratory.

There also is a profile of David Bailey of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and a feature on desalination with help from the sun at National Renewable Energy Laboratory .
