Lab dedicates Center for Homeland SecurityTom W. Meyer, left, director of the Los Alamos Center for Homeland Security, enjoys the congratulations of Interim Laboratory Director Pete Nanos, center, and Charles E McQueary, undersecretary for Science and Technology at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, at Thursday's dedication ceremony of Los Alamos' Center for Homeland Security at Technical Area 66. In addition to a ribbon cutting and a special cake decorated with the multicolored Homeland Security Advisory System risk levels, DHS visitors participated in facility tours and round-table discussions on the areas in which Los Alamos can work with the Department of Homeland Security.
