Lab dedicates Center for Homeland Security

Tom W. Meyer, left, director of the Los Alamos Center for Homeland Security, enjoys the congratulations of Interim Laboratory Director Pete Nanos, center, and Charles E McQueary, undersecretary for Science and Technology at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, at Thursday's dedication ceremony of Los Alamos' Center for Homeland Security at Technical Area 66. In addition to a ribbon cutting and a special cake decorated with the multicolored Homeland Security Advisory System risk levels, DHS visitors participated in facility tours and round-table discussions on the areas in which Los Alamos can work with the Department of Homeland Security.
