Safety and security requirements for designated delivery pointsSince Laboratory workers occupy technical areas spread out over nearly 40 square miles, designated delivery points (DDPs) are used to facilitate efficient delivery of materials to organizations throughout the Lab. As a result of a comprehensive assessment, it was determined that additional safeguards and security emphasis is required for these DDPs. Upon the issue date of this notice, the safety and security requirements defined must be implemented for existing active DDPs, for establishing a new DDP, and specifies the chain of custody for the delivered materials.
