DOE issues report on audit of personnel security clearances

A Department of Energy Office of Inspector General report on personnel security clearances and badge access controls has lauded the Laboratory's work in the recovery of badges.

The site management of badge recovery and clearance termination looked at four DOE facilities, including Los Alamos. Of the four sites subject to audit, Los Alamos had no discrepancies in the number of returned badges from workers who terminated employment at those sites.

The audit was performed between April and August 2002.
