Lab participating in Santa Fe Business Expo todayMore than 20 buyers from the Laboratory as well as staff from the Small Business Program Office (BUS-SBO) are participating in the Santa Fe Business Expo 2003 today in Santa Fe. Sponsored by the Santa Fe County Chamber of Commerce, some 80 businesses will have exhibit booths at the expo, which is from noon to 7:30 p.m. at the Sweeney Convention Center on Marcy Street downtown. The Laboratory is a member of the Santa Fe County Chamber of Commerce. At 4 this afternoon, Bennie Gonzales of the Business Operations (BUS) Division will present a course, "How to Respond to a Request for Proposal." The seminar includes information on how to write a proposal, the criteria used to evaluate responses to RFPs and where and how businesses can obtain important information needed to respond to a RFP. Staff from the Small Business Program Office also will be available to respond to questions about how businesses can learn about purchasing opportunities at the Laboratory.
