UC issues statement on Tuesday's congressional hearing

The University of California released a message to its work force regarding the congressional hearing on the business and administrative operations of the Laboratory. The hearing started Tuesday and continues today in Washington, D.C.

Bruce Darling, UC's senior vice president for university affairs and interim vice president for Laboratory management, represented UC at the hearing.

"Managing the national security laboratories for the last 60 years has been an honor and an awesome responsibility, and we will address any challenges that might detract from our ability to fulfill our obligations to the American people," Darling told the committee.
