Friday, February 14, 2003 Chaudhari is new director at Brookhaven National LaboratoryPraveen Chaudhari has been selected as the new director of Brookhaven National Laboratory in New York. He will begin his new duties April 1.Chaudhari comes to Brookhaven National Laboratory from IBM, where he was a scientist and senior manager of research. Chaudhari has a bachelor's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology and master's and doctoral degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. "I am very pleased to join Brookhaven Lab - one of the world's foremost scientific organizations and home of five Nobel prize laureates," said Chaudhari. "I look forward to working with the outstanding Brookhaven Lab staff to advance the frontiers of science, effectively operate a diverse laboratory, and serve the needs of the scientific, local and national community."
