Director wishes employees a peaceful and happy holiday

Employees,

As 2002 draws to a close, I want to take this opportunity to thank each of you for your dedication and hard work over the past year. During this period of terrorist threats, our Laboratory is making important contributions to our national security in many different ways.

I have great confidence in all of you, and I believe that we will continue meeting the many challenges before us. But as we begin the new year, let us recommit to all our institutional values — safety and security, trustworthiness, excellence, teamwork, public service and diversity. If we all perform our work with these values, we will demonstrate to everyone that we are the great Laboratory we know we are.

May you and yours have a peaceful and happy holiday season.
