McTague steps down from UC Lab oversight position

John McTague is stepping down as vice president of laboratory management to return to a teaching position with the University of California system.

McTague is a professor of materials at UC, Santa Barbara.

"It has been an honor and pleasure to work with an exceptionally able and collegial team at the laboratories, the UC Office of the President, [Department of Energy] and [the National Nuclear Security Administration,]" McTague said. "These laboratories are unique national resources, and I look forward to continuing to help them perform their invaluable service to our nation in any way I can."
