Employees should heed signs, stay out of construction areas

Construction activities are currently underway to re-roof the J. Robert Oppenheimer Study Center at Technical Area 3. The construction area is marked and posted with flags and orange fencing. For the safety of Lab and construction workers, it is imperative that these barriers be observed. The Study Center project is anticipated to be completed within the next two weeks. During this time, pedestrian access from Diamond Drive to the Otowi Building parking lot (east end) will require walking north at the construction fence to the University House driveway. Free access to the parking lot is available at the driveway.

A safety inspector will be overseeing the sidewalk fencing. The inspector will request names and z numbers of individuals choosing to cross the construction fence. Individuals not complying with posted safety requirements will be reported to their division leader.
