NASA exhibit rolls into Los AlamosKathy Acuña, event coordinator for NASA's Johnson Space Center, talks to visitors about some of the technologies developed in the space program at the Benefits of Space traveling exhibit Tuesday in downtown Los Alamos. Acuña is standing next to a model of the International Space Station and other examples of technologies developed for the space program that have impacted daily life. Inset photo: a moon rock enclosed in a glass case is available for viewing as part of the exhibit, which continues from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at 15th Street and Central Avenue west of the Laboratory's Bradbury Science Museum. The Apollo 15 moon rock was collected by astronauts Dave Scott and Jim Irwin during their exploration of the lunar surface in July 1971. The rock weighs 3.5 ounces.
