Ergonomics Expo set for Aug. 14 at LANSCEThe third of four scheduled Ergonomics Expos is Aug. 14 at the Los Alamos Neutron Science Center (LANSCE) at Technical Area 53.The ergo expo is from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Orange Box first floor conference room at TA-53. The theme of this ergo expo is "Ergonomics analyses for everyone," according to Graciela Perez of Industrial Hygiene and Safety (HSR-5) and the Lab's ergonomics program manager. Ergonomics expos allow Laboratory workers to check out chairs, keyboards, tools and furniture that improve safety and health at work, home and play, she said. Basic assessment tools such as checklists, convex mirrors and yardsticks will distributed to participants to evaluate their workstations. Participants also can sign up for free worksite analyses to be given by trained ergonomic analysts, said Perez.
