CMR turns 50 with 'dogs and Hawaiian theme

More than 700 hamburgers and 300 hot dogs were served to Laboratory workers who had a L and Q clearance.

The theme was Hawaiian - Hawaii is the 50th state - as witnessed by Dennis Dick's shirt at Thursday's CMR Building 50th anniversary picnic. The CMR Facility at Technical Area 3 first opened its doors in 1952 and houses research and experimental activities for analytical chemistry, plutonium and uranium chemistry and metallurgy, and some engineering design, electronics and other support functions.
