Wednesday, July 10, 2002 Cobb testifies in Congress on Lab's contributions to homeland securityDon Cobb, associate director for threat reduction, on Tuesday spoke in Washington, D.C. to a subcommittee of the House Energy and Commerce Committee about capabilities the Laboratory has to assist the nation in homeland security.Testifying before the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, Cobb highlighted key contributions Los Alamos is making to homeland security, including the National Infrastructure Simulation and Analysis Center, a partnership with Sandia National Laboratories, the Biological Aerosol Sentry and Information System, a joint Los Alamos-Lawrence Livermore labs effort, the National Transportation Modeling and Analysis Program, threat analysis and warning and vulnerability and threat assessments of nuclear facilities to name a few.
