Wednesday, July 10, 2002 Ergonomics expo is todayAn ergonomics expo is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon, today in the large conference room of building 91 at Technical Area 22. The expo is open to all Laboratory employees with access to TA-22. This ergonomics expo will include new information and examples of ergonomics while driving. The expo is part of the Lab's emphasis on ergonomics at work, home and play. The new information includes useful tips on how to improve body posture, increase circulation in the body and reduce stress while commuting back and forth to work or to Lab facilities. New ergonomic tools also will be unveiled such as a grip strength dynamometer, which measures grip strength when fatigue and posture are considered. Dynamometers also measure the effect of wearing gloves on grip strength. In addition to these new items, the familiar self-help checklists, free yardsticks,
ergonomic mirrors and vendors, such as Contract Associates, Goodman's and Steel
Case also are scheduled to participate in the ergonomics expo. Attendees who
