Deadline for applications extendedMediation Center needs you! The Mediation Center has a critical need for new members in the mediation pool, and thus far responses will not fill the need. Therefore, the call for volunteer mediators has been extended to July 8. The Mediation Center needs people from all series, especially the TEC and OS/GS series. The Mediation Center is part of the Laboratory's Ombuds Program Office and handles mediation referrals to resolve formal employee complaints and other serious disputes at all levels in the Laboratory. Participation in the pool is an excellent way to improve or hone communication and facilitation skills, as well as providing a valuable service to the Lab, said Laboratory Ombudsman Bruce MacAllister.
