Parking lots near Otowi Building closed to employee parking on Friday

Because of the scheduled dedication of the Nicholas C. Metropolis Center for Modeling and Simulation, the parking lots on Pajarito Road immediately west of the Otowi Building will be closed to employee parking all day Friday.

Essential business operations vehicles will be allowed access through the security checkpoint on Pajarito Road, subject to the parking restrictions. On Friday only, the Laboratory has made arrangements with the Los Alamos Research Park for Lab workers to park on the back half of the parking lot east of the Research Park that is north of West Jemez Road. Other parking in the Technical Area 3 vicinity also is available.

There also are shuttle buses available to transport Lab workers from outlying parking areas.

The dedication will be broadcast on Labnet Channel 9 beginning at 3 p.m.
