New Emergency Operations Center to rise at Technical Area 8
The new Emergency Operations Center being built at Technical Area 8 will house not just the Laboratory's Emergency Management operations, but also Los Alamos County, the neighboring pueblos, the National Guard, the State Police, the Red Cross, the Department of Energy and New Mexico Emergency Management. Core holes indicate diesel leaked from TA-21 tank

An investigation into the whereabouts of diesel fuel missing from an above-ground storage tank at the Laboratory indicates that at least some of the missing fuel leaked as a result of a deteriorating pipe. Full story
