Homeland Security director Ridge to visit Lab today Tom Ridge, the nation's new director of the Office of Homeland Security, is scheduled to visit Los Alamos this afternoon. He will be accompanied by Gen. John Gordon, director of the National Nuclear Security Administration. Ridge is at the Laboratory to receive overviews of homeland security technologies developed here. He was scheduled to visit Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque this morning. Ridge was invited to New Mexico's national laboratories by Sens. Jeff Bingaman, D-N.M. and Pete Domenici, R-N.M.
