Turning onto Diamond Drive and pedestrians at the Eniwetok signal

A couple simple suggestions to improve the Diamond Drive situation:

  • The time cycle is set too long for the pedestrian crosswalks across Diamond Drive at Eniwetok Road. It can take several minutes for the light to change after pressing the cross button. This only encourages pedestrians to try to dash across against the light or avoid the crosswalk entirely and dash across in the middle of the block. Making this signal more responsive to the crossing buttons would improve pedestrian safety without seriously impacting the flow of traffic.
