Quantum Institute: Visitor ScheduleThe Quantum Lunch is regularly held on Thursdays in the Theoretical Division Conference Room, TA-3, Building 123, Room 121. For more information, contact Diego Dalvit. January 31, 2008 Stefanos Papanikolaou, Topological Phases and Topological Entropy of Systems with Finite Correlation Length AbstractRecently, it has been conjectured that the entanglement entropy of topological liquids has universal features, dependent only on the type of the existing topological order. In this talk, I will elucidate the causes behind the existence of these universal features by considering several examples of topological quantum liquids with non-zero correlation length. |
