Dynamic Materials

We measure materials at extreme conditions using separate effects testing. Phase change, material damage and ejecta are examined under multiply shocked conditions using Gas Gun as well as High Explosive Drives. Piezo pins, Asay foils, Doppler velocimetry and IR/visible pyrometry are used to characterize shocked surfaces and EOS on and off the Hugoniot.
