The Radiation Driven Hydrodynamics and ICF Physics

The Radiation Driven Hydrodynamics and ICF physics team in P-22 conducts experiments in support of both the ICF/Radiation Physics program office and the X division code validation and verification effort at LANL. Experiments are currently conducted by P-22 at both the Z accelerator at Sandia National Laboratory and the Omega Laser at the University of Rochester. Experiments are also possible using the Trident laser in P-24 at LANL, the HELEN laser at AWE, and ultimately at the NIF facility at LLNL when that facility comes into operation.

For more information about experimental opportunities and operations at these facilities, contact Robert G. Watt P-22.
