A Stranger in a Strange Land: Physicist Tales from the World of Neuroscience

Gregory Stephens, P-21

In this talk I will describe some of the fundamental questions in neuroscience as seen through the eyes of a theoretical physicist. I will detail various approaches to a few of these problems that we are exploring here with a computational model of a mammalian retina. Finally, I will end with some speculations about interesting directions in theoretical neuroscience.
