National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, NHMFL

Non-destructive 100 T magnet

This magnet, now in the design phase, is a joint project between the National Science Foundation (through the NHMFL) and the US Department of Enengy. It will produce 100 T pulses in a re-usable magnet for periods of milli-secs, which is approximately two thousand times longer than is presently available at this field level.
