Our researchers have worked closely with industry from the beginning of the Los Alamos fuel cell program. One key example was the establishment of the Los Alamos-General Motors (GM) Joint Development Center (JDC) at the Laboratory in 1991, funded by GM and the Department of Energy (DOE).
