2008 DOE/EFCOG Electrical Safety Meeting and Workshop
This new meeting/workshop was first held last year and had 150 attendees from 25 sites. The meeting was a great success with excellent speakers and workshops. This meeting/workshop is a combination of the previous summer Electrical Safety Meeting (held in summers in Las Vegas) and the R&D Electrical Safety Meeting & Workshop that was held in March of 2004, 2005, and 2006. This upcoming meeting/workshop will be hosted by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, Colorado, and will include invited speakers, contributed speakers, workshops, and possibly training.
Objectives
- To share methods and successes from various DOE sites in electrical safety.
- To hear current issues in electric code changes, PPE improvements, CFR851, etc.
- To continue to implement products from the 2006 EFCOG Electrical Safety Improvement Project.
- To work on improvements in complex wide electrical safety concerns.
