Jeff SimpsonTechnical Writer (Comforce)
Working with the NIS-TEP/TRAC program in the summer of 1996, Jeff began these web pages for the EES-11 group and searched and retrieved seismic data. Now, he serves as a technical writer during summers and continues to make the group's information available via the internet. During the academic year, Jeff teaches geology at Paradise Valley Community College and high school digital photography, physics, and earth science in the Paradise Valley School District of Arizona. When not teaching or working at Los Alamos, Jeff enjoys mountain biking, playing acoustic guitar, gardening, astronomy, creative writing, computing, and studying environmental issues focusing on sustainability and alternative architecture (photovoltaics, passive design, rammed earth, etc.), and travel. He has taught in Athens, Greece and Pago Pago, American Samoa. He has worked with the National Park Service at Kilauea and Glen Canyon.
