Experience

• 1994-present: Staff seismologist, Geophysics Group (EES-11), Los Alamos National Lab - Seismic event discrimination studies of the western United States and central Asia, including China. Coda analysis of seismograms to find source, site, and path effects.
• 1992-1994: Post doctoral researcher, GeoEngineering Group (EES-4), Los Alamos National Lab - Simultaneous velocity model and hypocenter inversion, crustal stress orientation estimates from focal mechanisms, and coda analysis of explosions and earthquakes.
• 1985-1991: Research fellow, research assistant, and teaching assistant, New Mexico Tech, Socorro, New Mexico - Vertical seismic profile and earthquake location investigations by simultaneously inverting direct and reflected phase arrival times.
• 1982-1985: Exploration geophysicist, Gulf Oil, Casper, Wyoming. Interpretation of seismic reflection profiles and well logs while developing oil and gas prospects.
