Comparison of Discriminants

The top figure shows the PnSn cross distance-corrected cross spectral ratio (DCR). Note that the source scaling has not been removed from the discriminant. D2 corresponds to the univarate Mahlanobis distance. The middle plot shows the same ratio where the individual amplitudes have been corrected using the MDAC prior to forming the ratio. Note that the source scaling is largely removed relative to DCR, the variance reduction is 356.5%, and the D2 is increased. The bottom figure shows the same ratio where the MDC amplitude residuals have been Kriged prior to forming the ratio. The variance reduction is 21.7% over MDAC and 49.5% over DAC
