Systems Engineering and Integration

The Systems Engineering & Integration Group (D-3) helps policy-makers anticipate and respond to constantly evolving weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and natural threats on local and global scales-from chemical, biological, radiological, and explosive (CBRE) events to catastrophic natural disasters.

We provide scientific, systematic, and integrated decision support in these areas:

  • prevention
  • preparation
  • characterization
  • response
  • recovery
  • public health protection

We develop and deploy comprehensive, integrated CBRE and wide-area surveillance systems, using system-of-systems architectures and technologies.
