What's New on the D-4 Web Site

April 2001
A number of older reports have been scanned by our library and are now available as pdf's on the Macroeconomics page. Titles include Opportunity for America, Mexico's Coal Future, The Status of Energy Planning in Five Central American Countries, and The Energy Situation in Fiji, Papua New Guinea, and Vanuatu.

Likewise, older reports such as the Costa Rica Peat Project, An Energy Atlas of Five Central American Countries, The Economics of Utility Oil and Gas Substitution: National and Region-Specific Analysis can now be downloaded from the Microeconomics page. Several of the reports are also available in Spanish.

We have added an Energy Analysis homepage that highlights work by D-4 researchers in several energy analysis-related projects, including the China Energy Study, the Clean Coal Technologies Program, and various international and domestic energy studies.

A Clean Coal Technologies Compendium is being developed by TSA and CIC staff. Its intent is to make maximal use of information derived from the Clean Coal Technology (CCT) Program. Ultimately, we hope this Compendium becomes the principal source of information for stakeholders interested in the implementation of CCT technologies. The Compendium is sponsored by the DOE Office of Fossil Energy.

ETCAP's Compendium of Cost Data for Environmental Remediation Technologies is now on-line! This searchable database provides a representative sample of cost information for environmental remediation technologies used in the treatment of hazardous, radioactive, and mixed waste. Data were gathered from a variety of sources and summarized to provide actual cost summaries or engineering cost estimates, site characteristics, and comments detailing remedial projects. Please go to the Environmental Analysis homepage to access the url address.
