Environmental Management Policy Analysis using Complex System Simulation (EnviroSim)

The objective of the Environmental Management Policy Analysis using Complex Systems Simulation (EnviroSim) Project is to use simulation science techniques for analyzing complex systems in order to assist DOE/EM policy makers. We are developing an environmental technology tool that will initially be used to model 1) the proposed Los Alamos pit production and waste processes and 2) the storage and transport of TRU waste from Los Alamos to the WIPP site.

See an overview of the concepts behind the EnviroSim approach (February 1998).
