CARB Air Monitoring
Hourly and Weekly Data
Lists the air monitoring sites within the different California
Air Quality Districts. You can choose daily or weekly criteria
pollutant statistics from data extending from the present back
to 1963 in some cases. Locations of the monitoring sites can
be found here.
CARB Air Quality
Data Summaries
This site contains links to yearly summaries for ozone,
PM10,
and toxics
organized graphically by basin, district, county, and monitoring
site within California. Tables contain information on number
of exceedances and highest concentrations. This is an easy to
use and very well laid-out site.
CARB Daily
Report
Summarizes air pollution levels from the previous day for select
stations in California. In the winter, CO, NOx, and PM10 are
reported, while in the summer ozone is reported.
CAPITA
Air Pollution Experimental Datasets
Contains downloadable datasets from several field programs, including
AIRS, IMPROVE, SCENE, CASTNet, and SAMSON. The North
American Integrated Fine Particle Data Set and a paper
describing the data sources are available as well.
CEDVAL
Wind-tunnel Data
Images and raw data of experimental data measured around buildings
in a wind tunnel can be downloaded. Includes velocity and concentration
fields. Easily negotiated site.
El Paso/Ciudad Juarez
Air Quality Data
This ftp site contains 1 week's worth of 5 minute data and 3
years worth of hourly data for monitoring sites around El Paso,
Texas. The data is an ascii format.
EPRI Air Pollution
Experiments
Provides ftp downloadable datasets from the EMEFS, ERAQS, PMV,
SCENES, SURE, and UAPSP air quality programs.
ETCAQ AIRBASE
A searchable database that provides hourly data of criteria pollutants
in column format for European Union cities. Some monitoring sites
have data that extend back many years.
National Acid Deposition
Program Database
Deposition and precipitation data from the NADP stations are
available through an easy to use clickable map of the United
States. Daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal data are available
in several formats. Isopleth
maps are also available.
NADP
AIRMon Site
Similar to the NADP dataset, the Atmospheric Integrated Research
Monitoring Network contains deposition and precipitation data
for a few stations, but at greater temporal resolution.
NPS-ARD/CIRA
IMPROVE Air Quality Maps
A very nice site with multi-year and seasonal avergage air pollution
concentration and visibility parameter contours overlaid onto
a US map. Quantities being displayed are changed with a simple
mouse-over.
OTAG
Data
Contains links to AIRS data, ozone animations, and other datasets.
SCAQMD Smog Data
Contains forecasts and current hourly readings for each station
in the Southern California Air Quality Management District. Uses
a clickable map interface. Includes historical air quality and
meteorology datasets as well.
SIMA Mexico
City Real-Time Air Quality Data
Straight forward site showing daily hourly readings for the five
sectors of Mexico City. Air quality data in table and graphical
format.
United Kingdom
Air Quality Data
Hourly readings, air quality maps, and other air pollution statistics
are available from this site.
USEPA AIRNOW
Links to State Data
A clickable US map linking to web sites of State and local agencies
that provide real-time air quality data. Currently 22 states
are available.
USEPA AIRNOW Ozone
Mapping Project
Ozone movies for 1999 for many eastern states and a few western
states. Movies are archived by state, region, and day of year.
USEPA
Hourly AIRS Data
At the CAPITA site,
downloadable datasets of criteria pollutants for US air monitoring
stations for the period 1986-1995. Each year contains data from
April to September. Currently, at the USEPA
Airs Site, only summary, site, and monitor information are
available. The raw data link is still not working.
Victoria, Australia Air
Quality Data
Tables of current and past hourly readings of criteria pollutants
are available at this slick site provided by the Environmental
Protection Authority. Data extends back to 1990.
