Santa Fe Indian Market Needs Volunteers
Each year in August, Santa Fe hosts the largest Native American art show in the world. This year's events will take place on Saturday and Sunday, August 21 and 22. This massive undertaking attracts more than 100,000 people and needs more than 500 volunteers to help before and during the event. Read more

Due to long-lasting interest in the Manhattan Project, math and science teachers from across New Mexico recently visited the Laboratory as part of a professional development workshop. Read more
Hispanic Youth Symposium Draws Students In June
The first step to attending college is making the decision to do so. To encourage that objective, each year for the past three years the New Mexico Hispanic Youth Symposium has hosted approximately 100 students to encourage them to attend college and has given them the necessary tools to apply for admission and seek financial aid. LANS Donates Funds for Science Kits
Los Alamos National Security, LLC presented a check for $171,500 to the Los Alamos National Laboratory Foundation for science kits to be used by a new science education consortium to train teachers and principals in four local school districts. Read more

Call for Pre-proposals for NMBSA Multi-company Projects
The New Mexico Small Business Assistance (NMSBA) Program is accepting pre-proposals for calendar year 2011 multi-company projects. NMSBA allows New Mexico small businesses to request technical assistance from Los Alamos and Sandia national laboratories and tap into their unique capabilities. Read more
Supplier Alliance Holds Networking Event
The Northern New Mexico Supplier Alliance (NNMSA) recently hosted a successful networking event in Santa Fe. The more than 40 organizations represented had an opportunity to visit with procurement officials from the City of Albuquerque, Santa Fe County, and Los Alamos National Laboratory. Read more
