Mission and Objectives

In support of the Laboratory as a whole, the Chief Information Officer works to create an institutionally orchestrated information and technology environment by:

simplifying complex business systems and practices
reducing hidden costs in doing business
increasing the productivity of administrative, operational, technical and managerial staff
integrating cyber security into the information management chain
coordinating the Institutional Web sites (both the open public and the protected workforce) as the owner of note
formalizing the Laboratory's Information Architecture
developing Information Technology strategic plans
aligning the Laboratory's information practices with DOE/NNSA directions
