High Performance Computing Capabilities

The High Performance Computing (HPC) Division supports the Laboratory mission by managing world-class Supercomputing Centers. Our capabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Scientific software engineering services provided to the broader Laboratory
  • Hardware monitoring and maintenance
  • System software monitoring and maintenance
  • Operation and expert support of computing, interconnects, networks, and storage
  • HPC-specific facility and environmental operations
  • Direct user support
Internship Grants
  • Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship (SULI): The SULI program is for undergraduate students pursuing degrees in science, engineering, mathematics, or other technical fields. Participants are provided with salary for 10-week internships during the summer.
  • Community College Internships (CCI): The CCI program provides community college students enrolled in associate's degree programs with salaried 10-week summer internships.
