C-NR has methodologies and facilities for measurement of very low concentrations of radionuclides in environmental samples.

• Rusty bottle caps adsorb trace plutonium from the environment through natural geochemical processes. Analysis of the surface oxide coating can be used to selectively identify local nuclear signatures even when only trace-level contamination is present.
