John has 19 years of professional level experience providing legal and conflict-resolution assistance. Since joining the Laboratory in March 2004, John has focused on resolving workplace issues, business concerns, and matters raised by the public and industry. John has served as the Technology Partnership Ombudsman, and promotes the use of alternative dispute resolution to resolve disputes relating to patents, licensing, and other technology commercialization issues at the Laboratory.
Before joining the Laboratory,John managed a regional conflict resolution
program for the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, and Chaired
the Albuquerque/Santa Fe Federal Executive Board
Shared Neutrals Program. Before that he, maintained a private
law practice, served on Medical Review Commission panels
reviewing malpractice claims, worked as a full-time EEO Counselor/Specialist,
and has been a trained mediator since 1992.
