Come to the Next Big Idea July 16-17
Lab is a sponsor; STEM Day activities scheduled at Bradbury
July 2, 2010—Are you interested in talking with children and adults about the exciting science taking place at the Laboratory? Then come to The Next Big Idea July 16 and 17 at the Bradbury Science Museum, Fuller Lodge, and Ashley Pond.
Science, technology, and research exhibitors, as well as, post graduate students are needed for "The Next Big Idea" cosponsored by the Laboratory, the Los Alamos Commerce and Development Corporation, and the Los Alamos Main Street Program. Activities include a STEM Student Day at Bradbury Science Museum from 9 a.m. to noon on July 16 (in the afternoon at Fuller Lodge) and The Next Big Idea Festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. the following day at Ashley Pond.
The Next Big Idea highlights Los Alamos's unique heritage, while providing an opportunity for inspiring young people from throughout the state about possible futures in science, technology, engineering, math, and innovation. This is a great opportunity to reach out to the community to tell the story of the creativity that exists at the Lab and the discoveries and innovations being made.
