Recipients of the 2010 LANL Star Award to be honored
Employees invited to attend April 27 ceremony
Apr. 20, 2010—Laboratory Director Michael Anastasio will recognize twelve female employees as the 2010 LANL Stars during an award ceremony on April 27. The award recognizes women who go above and beyond the call of duty in the performance of their job functions, women who have achieved scientific or technical success, women who make important contributions to the community, or women who are stars in other important ways.
The event will begin at noon in the Physics Auditorium and coworkers, family members, and friends of the Stars are especially invited to show their support.
The 2010 LANL Stars are

- Carol Hogsett of the Engineering Capability Development Office (ECDO-OFF)

- Deanne Idar of International and Applied Technology Division (IAT-DO)
- Myra Martinez of Applied Engineering and Technology Division (AET-DO)
- Becky Olinger of Countering Weapons of Mass Effect (GS-WME)
- Sandy Powell of High Explosive Engineering (W-15)
- Charlotte Rowe of Geophysics (EES-17)
- Elaine Roybal of the Chemistry Division (C-DO)
- Ann Schake of Nuclear and Radiochemistry (C-NR)
- Lorraine Stanford of Applied Electromagnetics (IAT-2)
The LANL Star recognition is awarded annually by the Women’s Employee Resource Group in conjunction with the Work Environment Diversity Working Group and the Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity.
