June 25, 2010—The 2010 Los Alamos Employees' Scholarship Fund drive met its goal. As of June 23, more than $253,000 in donations has been received. This money will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Los Alamos National Security, LLC.
The campaign has officially ended.
"I want to thank all of the employees at LANL for making this the most successful fundraising campaign in LAESF history," said Tony Fox of the LANL Foundation. "The effects of this effort will be felt for several years by the deserving young students in Northern New Mexico whose dreams and academic pursuits we are supporting."
The foundation is a philanthropic grant-giving entity created in 1997. It supports a range of regional and community not-for-profit organizations.
