Companies who want to conduct business with Laboratory focus of sessions next month in PojoaqueContact: Steve Sandoval, steves@lanl.gov, (505) 665-9206 (00-118) LOS ALAMOS, N.M., Sept. 1, 2000 -- The Small Business Office of the Department of Energy's Los Alamos National Laboratory is offering a class in Pojoaque for businesses interested in working with the Laboratory. "Selling to LANL: Issues in Effective Marketing and Proposals," will be offered in two sessions from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., on Sept. 6 and 13 at the Cities of Gold Casino Hotel in Pojoaque. Registration fee is $10 for each session. The sessions are cosponsored by Los Alamos' Community Relations Office, the Small Business Development Centers at University of New Mexico-Los Alamos and Northern New Mexico Community College, the New Mexico State Procurement program and the Los Alamos County Chamber of Commerce. The Small Business Office is part of Los Alamos' Business Operations Division. Several presenters will discuss a number of issues related to conducting business with the Laboratory, including regulations for foreign-owned and controlled companies trying to conduct business with Los Alamos; what businesses should know before submitting proposals to Los Alamos; the Laboratory's criteria for conducting audits and reviews of businesses.
